System Elements
The Basic elements of a real-time FrameGlide + Spin Browser system (FG|SB) are shown in the illustration.
In actual installations, Spin Browser elements can be custom designed to fit specific themes and environments in elegant, creative, playful ways.
If you're interested in live capture, issues to consider include speed of capture (timelapse, 30fps, high speed), length of capture, lens, lighting, and mounting. We can help you plan an optimal real-time exhibit environment.
Sample Projects
- Great Lakes Science Center (video duration 1 year, ~ 1 terabyte): Visitors explore clouds, waves, storms, and sunsets over the Great Lakes, going back a full year right up to the present moment. All is captured continuously in HD, 1fps for the prior 24 hours (allowing views of such things as birds in flight) and 1/10fps for the prior year (making content storage practical), while retaining the fluid perusal characteristic of the FG|SB system. Sample content captured by the installation may be seen here.
- Oklahoma Museum Network: Touring (video duration 5 seconds at 200+ fps): Visitor perform their own physics experiments, capture the phenomena with a high-speed camera, and then instantly review the event in slow motion, back and forth at their own pace. Photos of the exhibit casework, and sample experiment captures, may be seen here.
- At VILVITE in Norway: FG|SB video explorer core software is used in an interactive jump exhibit developed by Creative Machines and The Exhibit Guys.
- At the EcoTarium: "A Day in the Life of a Starfish" real-time capture of a star fish aquarium enables visitors to explore the previous 24 hours in the life of its residents.
