System Elements
What is FrameGlide Content?
- Any video, converted to the required FrameGlide format (Quicktime PhotoJPEG, a common standard).
- Live captured content, flowing immediately and continuously (via camera, Internet satellite link, etc.) into the FrameGlide environment and to you.
Virtually any imagery or data can become FrameGlide content: stills, video, audio, sensor data graphs. Past projects encompass a wide range of subject matter, complexity, and cost.
Content can come from you, us, a 3rd party, be live captured, or any combination of these.
Certain types of subject matter are especially suited to creating engaging FrameGlide experiences. Examples include complex dynamic behaviors, point-of-view journeys, timelapse and high-speed sequences.
Obtaining and Preparing Content
- If You Have Your Final Video Ready - You just need to ensure it is in the appropriate Quicktime movie format, an easy process for an experienced video editor. Alternatively, we can do this conversion for you.
- If You Plan to Compile Existing Content - We collaborate, as requested, in any phase of content acquisition and production. We have over 10 years experience developing content specifically for our system.
- Obtaining Content from TechnoFrolics' Collection - We have a growing library of content specifically geared for FrameGlide exploration. Much is available at a fraction of standard industy rates through special arrangements with past clients and producers.
- If You Plan to Do Your Own Filming - There are considerations, unique to the FrameGlide software with Spin Browser dial environment, that are quite different from broadcast. For example, it is desirable to shoot VERY Long uncut sequences (think from minutes to hours), set short exposure time to eliminate any within-frame motion blur, etc. Note that we rent out live capture systems as one means of acquiring video content for what will eventually be pre-produced installations.
